Painting week!

Thrilling to have been invited to exhibit some paintings on my Little Tern project at the Conference organised by the RSPB in Prestatyn at the end of August!  The birds have now quit the reserve at Gronant heading southwards, leaving me with pages of sketches and notes in my notebooks, ready to make up into finished paintings.

There is such a wealth of interesting creatures and plants at the dunes it is hard to get it all down on paper and canvas.  Above is a young fledgling little tern and a sand lizard.  Here is a bird sitting on her nest.  No eggs were stolen to create this picture, I hasten to add!  I painted these from photographs!!
