For birds, it’s the end of the season

Some birds such as stonechat which don’t migrate are still nurturing young, but now the swifts,  swallows and martins have already left, and nearly all the little terns have gone too, leaving just a few at the reserve which are still frantically trying to feed up the fledglings until they can fly, so they can leave for warmer countries too.  Sandwich terns are starting to move down the coast in big nursery flocks.  I love sandwich terns!  Above are a few I saw last week!

    Hi Judith,

I bought this picture of yours from the Willow Gallery in Oswestry at the weekend. I was so taken with it and is the first ever original painting that I have ever managed to buy!

It really is beautiful and was wondering if you another similar painting that I could buy from you to go together with this one. The man at the gallery said there was another of oyster catchers which unfortunately for me someone bought the day before I got there…. drat!!

Please email me if you have anything that might interest me….. I do love sea birds….

    Thank you,
    Jill.
